So who are Heidi and Arthur anyway?
How did they get into the chocolate making business? Why did they do such a crazy thing when 3/4 of the American population claim that they are watching their waistlines and chocolate would sabotage their dieting efforts? (NOT) Since we did not address these queries in the FAQ area of our website, if you are curious about who we are and why we do this, please read on.
Heidi and Arthur are a father and daughter team. We pooled our talents a few years back and are having a ball working together. Arthur had way too much time on his hands when he tried to retire and I had never really had found my passion for anything until I discovered… the magic of chocolate.
So there was Arthur, bored out of his gourd and me with the gift of creating chocolates that delight the palate and were so well received by everyone who tried them. When enough people asked us where they could buy my chocolates, we decided to take it to the next level. Arthur’s enthusiasm and excitement about getting back into the arena of commerce and his confidence in my culinary skills led us to where we are today; Heidi & Arthur Chocolatiers.
The beautiful part of this story is the happily ever after. While my mother will always be my dad’s first and foremost passion in life, even after 53 years of marriage, my dad and I have learned so much about each other and have forged a very special relationship. We have always been a close knit family but I now appreciate my father and his really never ending words of wisdom. He sometimes does really know what he is talking about.
They say that mixing family with business can be a recipe for disaster; but definitely not in our case.
